I’m delighted to say that in the first of our Gatherings for 2025 about the writing process - and, more specifically, getting a book published - the brilliant Harriet Webster is joining us.
Harriet was a commissioning editor, project manager and editor (and more) at Quadrille Publishing for 7 years, before going freelance.
She has commissioned and produced high-quality, award-winning, illustrated non-fiction books. From consultancy and proposal development, to taking a concept from idea through to printed book, she has worked with a range of publishers and authors in Europe, America and Australia to produce both high-end and commercial publications.
I’ve worked with Harriet on my last 4 books and on everything from book development to project management to the minutiae of overseeing the manuscript, she is just brilliant.
Join us if you want to understand more about how to approach a commissioning editor, what they are looking for, about the process of a book getting from proposal to the shelf, and more. And do have questions ready if there’s anything you want to ask - this is your chance to make the most of an hour with a really gifted, knowledgeable editor.
This event is free for paid subscribers.
