As well as mentoring people with their writing, developing a book proposal, and creating and refining their Substack, I hold gatherings that cover the general, frequently asked aspects of writing here. There will soon be a date for the other gatherings that relate, to go with this overarching introduction.
I’ve been here a while, I have a best-selling Substack that has been featured in Substack’s worldwide newsletter, and I love it here. And I think I may be able to help you see whether you might too.

There are many universal truths about writing online, as well as specifics that are relevant to only some, perhaps even just you. This is your chance to explore anything that is on your mind about writing here.

There will also be time for you to Ask Me Anything.
I have much to share, I will tell you all I have discovered, what I think are the crucial things to bear in mind, and the fullness of my experience here, in the hope that it will help you decide whether this might be the place to make the home of your writing.
I am open to questions: this will be as much of a conversation as you like.
As with all Gatherings where subscribers are potentially discussing ideas, this Creating Your Own Substack event will not be not be available to replay - you have to be part of it to get the benefit.
