Love this, Mark. Thank you for the recipe! I’m going to source some apricots and look forward to giving this a try. The honesty box may even get a slice or two if I’m feeling generous ❤️

Congratulations, what a beauty! Love the end papers, phwoar. And there is a road - an actual ROAD - in north bristol called Emmachris avenue. I hope they are still together.

Ah congratulations sir, and welcome to the world, Abundance!! What an exciting and beautiful looking thing. Plus, thank you for the excuse (any excuse!) to dive back into Talk Talk. RIP Mr Hollis.

I miss Mark Hollis and regret the impossibility of any more of his music like he was a close friend, I really do. Transcendent. And thank you Andrew!

I get this. Gosh, imagine if there were a Talk Talk album today, even if they were only Mark, like Prefab Sprout is only Paddy. Ho hum *sighs*

Imagine! Are you familiar with Mark H's solo album? Truly special. And a massive knuckle tap to a fellow Paddy M lover

Our plum tree is groaning with the weight of plums this summer. Never seen so many. The branches are hanging so low that the wild rabbits could eat the plums if they fancied!

Thanks for a delicious recipe.

Just wonderful, Mark. I admit to letting out a whimper as I imagined the taste of a plumcot frangipane as I still here, half starved waiting for my breakfast in bed to arrive. We don't have a plumcot and until reading this has never heard of one, but do have an overladen Victoria Plum. Never seen plums hang in bunches like grapes as they are doing this year. Great tip with the gaffa tape, thanks.

Hanging like grapes is the perfect description! Same with the mirabelle this year, though the dwarf Victoria (a year younger) has yet to produce

The book looks gorgeous. Both writing and photography are so wonderful. May it succeed in sales and other regular measures of success. But what's important is that your publisher and you are happy with it. Congratulations!

I hope the ankle heals soon and fully.

Lovely recipe.

I think I am the only person in the UK who is happy it is unrelentingly hot (although the ideal for gardener-me would be rain during the night/sunny and hot all day).

Thank you Nic. Rain at night, sun in the day really is the combo for pleasure…but yes, for me a few degrees cooler than the weekend was!

Do hope so! I expect your publicist or speaker-venues arrange hotels etc, but if you’d like to be hosted by us in leafy north Leeds let me know. OH and I have a nice guest room and are fifteen mins from beautiful Wharfedale or from the A1/M1 in the other direction!
