"and I’ve been troubled by realising that in a couple of months it’ll be the same time since the Brexit vote as it took The Beatles to release all their albums " - this is the kind of bizarre calculation that I trouble my mind with, especially when I should be doing calculations that actually need doing
That music/time thing I find so often bewildering. Major Tom appears in Space Oddity...then not again until a lifetime later in Ashes to Ashes...that lifetime being only 10 years!...the time since Thatcher died. The Smiths were born, and then they lived and then they died in 4 years...the time since Stormzy closed Glastonbury. None of it makes sense!
It really is. I think it speaks to the longevity of the effects of very good music that touches the soul. We are still thrilled today by the music we listened to thirty/forty years ago – that time gets crunched to nothing.
Do you do these January courses every year? It sounds absolutely perfect for me but this year husbands annual leave is notoriously difficult and surprisingly my days off slot in nicely to your course . There’s also the question of our old dog which can’t be left by herself, do you allow 17 year old dogs on the course too? Ocht it’s so frustrating I can’t go this time ! When I saw the hotel and overnightoffer it was so up my street!! Tweed is well behaved too she would be a model pupil ! Shame.
Lovely to hear from you. There aren't any plans for next year but that doesn't mean we won't - it depends on busyness etc etc. I know the hotel welcomes dogs so if you can make the day it might be worth clicking on the link and calling them to find out if it's possible. If not, perhaps see you another time
Loving the playlist. It’s been perfect for a Sunday of reflecting and planning (yes I know was last weekend was the New Year but I’m late for everything!!)

Exactly the same here
That Burial/Fourtet track... Thanks too for the Claire Keegan puff – I've bookmarked a couple of hers for the pile!
As for your Beatles analogy of time elapsed... *shudders*

Late for new year reflecting is entirely appropriate!
I'm delighted on all fronts!
