Happy Sunday to you.
Ahead of the wider announcement tomorrow, I wanted to share my new book exclusively with you.
I’m hugely excited about it and I hope you’ll cook like crazy from it. I hope it is the answer to questions like ‘what should I do with this celeriac?’ ‘how should I prepare and cook a globe artichoke?’ ‘it’s a wet Wednesday evening in November and I’ve little energy, what’s a good, quick, delicious thing for supper?’
It has swap outs for gluten dodgers and those who eat a plant-based diet. It was huge fun to write and photograph, and I hope that comes across in the pages.
It’s published by Quadrille and - as ever - owes much to the brilliance of others including Harriet Webster, Matt Cox at Newman and Eastwood, and Claire Rochford.
Vegetables showcases almost 100 inventive vegetarian recipes that encourage you to celebrate the seasons, switch up your you diet, upgrade your sense of vitality and health and tred more lightly on the planet. From Spring Onion and Tarragon Tart and Radicchio and Chestnut Risotto to Baked Aubergines with Spiced Rosemary Cream and Stuffed Tomatoes with Coconut Rice, this book makes our most-loved veg the main event. Packed with recipes for generous lunches and hearty dinners, these crowd-pleasing dishes will leave everyone deliciously nourished, and with ‘seasonal swaps’, plus vegan and gluten-free options, you’ll never run out of mouth-watering variations to bring to the table.
Whether you have a few sad carrots at the bottom of the fridge, are a veg-box advocate in need of inspiration, or a keen gardener with a glut of produce, Vegetables will show you just how easy it is to pack plenty of tasty plants onto your plate, every week of the year.
It’s published in early June, but you can preorder here if you fancy. Preordering really helps the author as the early demand means stockists take notice, but more importantly by the time it hits your doormat in a few months you’ll have forgotten you ordered it, and it’ll feel like a present from past you.
I’m very fortunate that a few people who have early copies seem to like it…I really hope you do too.
What a treat! Pre-ordered!
Well done Mark, looks like another top book 💚X
